Maple Express · Canada, New York and Taipei · 3rd Oct 2008 - 20th Oct 2008
This trip isn't quite as long as our other trips but it's for a much more important reason. Chris and I are traveling to Canada (Fredericton to be specific) to be part of Beth-Anne and Richard's wedding celebrations! How exciting!!
Along the way, we're stopping off in Toronto to visit Chris and Aimee, then Ottawa to see Rilla, Pippin and Robert and finally onto Fredericton where we'll not only see Beth-Anne and Richard and all of Beth-Anne's familiy, but Katie, Nicki and Nick as well! What a treat!!
And since we couldn't travel to that side of the world without seeing New York city as well, we've set aside 4 days in the big apple which should be super mega awesome. Might even get to catch up with another old friend there, Sandy.
So how does Taipei fit into all of this? It's a compulsary one-day stop off on the way back. Not ideal but we get to see Taipei as well - somewhere neither Chris nor I have been yet. I hope we get to do some shopping!!
Here's our itinerary for anyone who is interested:
03/10 - Brisbane - Taipei - LA - Chicago - Toronto (omg)
06/10 - Ottawa
08/10 - Halifax - Fredericton
12/10 - Price Edward Island
14/10 - New York City
17/10 - New York City - Anchorage - Taipei - Sydney - Brisbane (arrive back on 20/10)
As you can see, most of this holiday will be spent in the air which isn't ideal but you gotta do what you gotta do!

Exploring The East · South-East Asia · 2nd Dec 2007 - 4th Mar 2008
This trip has two purposes:
1) To see Asia in it's fullest...
2) To eventually end up in Europe and find somewhere to live and work.
So yeah, very exciting!!
Here is a vague idea of our itinerary:
2nd Dec: Wellington - Auckland - Singapore
5th Dec: Singapore - Malaysia
9th Dec: Malaysia - Singapore
13th Dec: Singapore - Phuket, Thailand
7th Jan: Bangkok - Bangladesh
17th Jan: Bangladesh - Bangkok
... CHANGE OF PLANS! Previously we were planning on visiting Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. However, after some serious consideration, Chris and I have decided to indulge and instead of visiting Vietnam and Laos, we are now the proud owners of tickets to Japan!!!! We visited Japan on our last 'Camp Europe' trip but had only 3 days in Tokyo. This time we have almost 4 weeks there so plan to see much much more and not be in so much of a hurry. So... with that in mind, here are the new travel details:
21st Jan: Bangkok - Phnom Pehn
27th Jan: Cambodia - Bangkok
31st Jan: Bangkok - Tokyo
26th Feb: Tokyo - Hong Kong
And as before...
3rd Mar: Hong Kong - Frankfurt
4th Mar: Frankfurt - London
