On Monday I started a new role at a company called Microgenx based in Toowong, Brisbane. Unfortunately my previous role at KBR wasn't quite what I was looking for (too much support, not enough coding!).
So far Microgenx is looking like a great place to work and learn lots off everyone else. There are about 25 in the company and about 18 of those are developers so I'm feeling right in my element. Woohooo!!
Toowong is a little further away for me to get to in the mornings but it's a nice 15 minute bus or train or ferry ride away which is really not that bad. It's a bit more expensive transport-wise than walking to work was, but the extra travel time gives me a chance to chill out for a few minutes before and after work. Toowong is quite a cool suburb actually, somewhere neither Chris nor I would mind living. Maybe that's where we'll look for our next flat.
There's a pretty cool mall in Toowong with a good foodcourt so no lack of choices for lunch food. I think the best place of all has got to be the "Two Wongs - Asian Food" shop however, how cool is that name?!?!

Two Wongs Asian Food. Best name ever.
On a side note, I found some cool graffiti while walking around Brisbane that I just had to take photos of. I found these around the South Brisbane area.
