The Brisbane Festival is on at the moment and one of the events was the Racecourse Road Street Party in Ascot on Sunday last weekend. It was a beautiful day so Chris, Rheanna and I decided to go check it out.

It was just what you'd expect from a street fair, lots of stalls selling knick-knacks, food and drinks. I was surprised by the number of stalls selling spanish and south-american food such as paella, empanadas (YUM) and churros filled with dulce de leche (MMM).

Apart from the stalls selling stuff, there were also 3 stages set up with live music playing. One of the bands we saw was a group of 3 men in sexy cycling gear who, as part of their act, pulled the seats off their bicycles and used them as flutes! Very creative!

It was rather nice being able to walk around a fair like that in the middle of what is actually 'winter' and be wearing t-shirts and shorts. That's how warm it still is here in Brisbane. I LOVE THAT!
