- We moved flats. Our apartment on the 31st floor of M On Mary in the center of Brisbane was wonderful, luxurious and... much too expensive! So we moved to another suburb a little closer to my work (and a little further from Chris' work unfortunately) but still only 2 suburbs from town. This place doesn't quite measure up to our last place but it's bigger and cheaper, so it's good with me!
- We went to Canada for Beth-Anne and Richard's wedding. While there we met up with Chris & Aimee, Rilla, Pippin & Robert, Katie, Nicky & Nick... the list goes on. We also went to New York city where we met up with my old friends Sandy and John and had a great night out. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip and we came back more tired than we left but still, we had a blast.
- We bought a car! We looked around for a couple of weekends but finally settled on a cheap little red Mitsubishi Mirage. We reckon we got a really good deal on it - it runs really well AND it has aircon!

- Someone crashed into our little red car (read above). Wasn't a big hit but scared the **** out of me. Left a big dent in the back right corner which still needs to be fixed. Luckily it will all be covered by the offending party's insurance.
- I did three 8 week courses of Japanese classes. It's quite difficult and there is SO much to remember, but it's really enjoyable and it's SO cool being able to read some Hiragana now.
- We had our first Christmas in Australia. It was a quiet one, mostly due to the lack of family here. However, we did have a lovely day with our friends Scott and Ingrid as they fed us Christmas ham and wine on Christmas Day.
- Moved our bed into the lounge. Although our new place has aircon, it is placed downstairs and doesn't reach the bedrooms upstairs particularly well. In fact, upstairs feels a bit like a sauna 24/7. I like the heat but not quite that much. And Chris doesn't really like the heat at all. So after buying a second portable air conditioner and having that AND the fan pointing straight at us without much success, we finally dragged our mattress down into the lounge and haven't looked back since. Yes, it does look like we're guests in our own house but so what?!
- I dyed my hair ... blond! Well, lightened it anyway. Makes me realize just how dark my hair is naturally - I've got my mum's latin roots to thank for that!
- Chris cut all his hair off. After a lot of discussion and persuasion, Chris went for a 3 on top and 2 on the sides. Then we took it down to a 2 all over. Then a 1. I think it looks great :)
- Had two new charity groups join up to TravelStash, Biking to Build Schools and Ride For the Trees. This was a very exciting moment for us - it's really great to see others using TravelStash!
- Released a (very) beta version of another site, PropertyStash. Go on, have a look, you know you want to. Oh and feel free to sign up for a beta invitation as well :)
Phew... I think that's about it for now.
It's time to watch Grey's Anatomy and fall asleep I think...
