· The last quick stopover.

Los Angeles, USA · 9th Jun 2009 · Posted by Chris

Well, here I am sitting, once again, in the Re-LAX lounge at LAX in Los Angeles.  This time I've got 2 hours to kill and what better way than to do some online rambling.  You know what's coming next ... today's MTB term!

Punter - a derogatory term, generally meaning clueless rider, but rather broad in its possible uses.  Good examples are someone who spends up big on a shiny new DH bike and armour, then walks carefully down the rocky bits, someone who thinks a helmet mirror is a good idea and anyone who has used a can of Spray-on Mud.

The flight from Vancouver to L.A. was totally uneventful although the plane was half full with a very young Mexican soccer team.  Unfortunately they lost their games in Canada.  :(

The only thing to report in this post is that I was 'lucky' enough to be sitting in a window seat that looked out onto the area where the bags were loaded.  Not once, but twice, I saw my bike being thrown around as if it was made of pillows.  This was after it was removed from under the pile of everyone else's luggage.  Geeze, can these people not read?  My new opinion is that fragile stickers are POINTLESS.

The next time I write in this trip will be the final summary post as I'll be back home in Melbourne.  This time I don't have to go through Brisbane as I did on the way out - excellent.

In the mean time, thanks to everyone that has emailed me and sent kind wishes hoping that I'm ok after my dual crash fun.  It's really nice to know your friends care.  :)

'See' y'all soon!
