Saturday morning we were trying to find somewhere that had the rugby test between the World Champion Springboks and the chumps…the All Blacks. Nowhere had it as it was 9.30am kick off here, so eventually we ask neighbours Eddie and Abbey 2 doors away.
We went out to Breakfast at Wimpy, with my brother in law Wynand, his wife Lehoma and son Tristian. Then we started shopping for Sundays braai.
After lunch we drove to Pretoria. We went to Loftus Versfeld, my favourite rugby stadium, home to the Bulls! I can’t believe we went to the rugby shop there and I only spent R20! (about$3), whilst Rheanna outdid me spending R120. (I have to say I have a lot of what is there anyway!)
The Bulls played the Sharks in a currie cup match, and were comfortable winners.
On our way home we stopped into the new Featherbrooke Casino complex in Krugersdorp. There we saw an awesome musical fountain display, and had dinner at a very upmarket complex.
Sunday morning we got ready for the Braai. We had about 15 people who came. We mixed a traditional SA braai, with the way me and Rheanna do things. ie there are no rules and we just ate things off the braai as they were ready. No traditional steak, we had tandoori chicken instead. We had masala chops, 4 types of Borewors, Tandoori chicken, garlic breads, garden salad, and potato salad. Everyone enjoyed the food and asked me what spices I used (can’t say I remember fully. I just use what’s there!)
The rest of Sunday we just stayed around home, and got Lehoma to play hair dresser with us.
