After finishing in the lounge, we made our way to the gate for our second flight. Rheanna had bought a new inflatable neck pillow as her one kept going down.
Then we went through security, and Rheanna discovers she threw my neck pillow out not hers! So she had to go back out past security and get it!
The second flight wasn’t too bad as the back half of the plane was only half full. Rheanna managed to move to a row of 3 so she could lie down. We managed to get some sleep too which was useful.
Ah the smell of Africa…nothing can ever compare. It is so good to be back.
After meeting up with our family, we had to try and sort our mobile internet out. We were told it wasn’t compatible with vista (which we use) so it took well over an hour to sort it out, and test on our laptop!
After a buffet breakfast and dragging me away from the South African flag shop (which had so much cool springbok gear…including takkies! For those who don’t know what takkies are…well you may by the end of this trip) we made our way from the airport some 90 minutes behind schedule, for St Lucia.
Having been away with only broken sleep for some 30 odd hours, we were quite tired. The drive was long and not particularly scenic. It also meant we had to drive in the dark on a single road highway that was poorly lit. At this stage me and Rheanna had to take turns as we were struggling to stay awake enough to drive.
