· The oldest footprint

East London, South Africa · 22nd Jun 2008 · Posted by Sanjay
Saturday morning we went to Nahoon reef, where we walked along the beach (well briefly as I don’t like the beach!), and visited the site where the first human footprints where found. They are now in the East London museum, as they are fossilized in rock. They have a building (and museum) that is shaped in a footprint, complete with five little toes/rooms

Then we went out to “The lion park” where we were able to touch a giraffe and a Nyala for the first time. The Lions were all white lions (call me racist but I don’t like white lions!) so we weren’t that keen to touch and play with the small lions. There were also a few more animals - cheetah, crocodile, tortoise, meerkat

After lunch I left Rheanna with her parents and they went for a walk on the beach

I went out with Jono to go watch the rugby – the Springboks v Italy. We had a traditional braai , before settling down to watch the match.
