Holidays to Thailand are are affordable and you will enjoy the cuisine and breathtaking nature, and now by well established experts and beginners alike, as a haven for divers. It is not just that the water here has astonishing clarity - up to 65 meters on a calm day - but also that submerged you will find underwater mountains, exotic coral gardens, variety of fish like manta rays, flying fish and silver tip sharks, and sometimes even a few sunken battleships!

The Andaman Sea makes most of south Thailand great for diving. Take the Similan Islands consisting of 9 smaller islands (well named as Similan is Malay for nine). It has been named one of the top ten dive sites in the world and has exotic marine life for one to enjoy, ranging from chevron barracuda, giant trevally, and leopard sharks to rainbow runners.

While Ko Tao or Turtle Island on the Gulf of Siam has 20 diving centers to choose from, in Phuket Island you will find the largest diving centre in Thailand that caters to all skill levels of divers. And to top it off at the Ter Bay you will find, at depths of 25 to 35 meters, a ship wreck that is wonderful to behold. If you want stronger currents and greater depths then visit Racha Noi that also has some whale sharks and manta rays to admire.

At the Island of Koh Phi Phi you will discover that not only is it beautiful with breath taking beaches, but also that many dive sites are merely 40 minutes away. Finally, going on holidays to Thailand will give you an opportunity to relish the shooting location of Leonardo Di Caprio’s movie, The Beach.
