A great South Africa travel spot is the Orange River. This river is the longest river in the country of South Africa and is also one of the boundaries between the country and Namibia and Lesotho. This river offers other boundaries to many places in the country and is held in high regard when it comes to the size of land. The river itself is important to the region due to its use in hydroelectric power, irrigation, and is a major part of the economy. Many wine farms can also be found along the river, giving it a spot for people to tour and visit.

Located on the Orange River is the Gariep Dam. This is another wonderful place for a South Africa travel. The Gariep Dam is a wondrous technological advancement for the country and is known as a gravity-arch hybrid dam. The important fact that this dam is commonly known for is that is it crucial to the country and the lives of the people in it. The dam also has the function of being able to drain into the Great Fish River and the Eastern Cape in case of shortages of water in that area due to drought.

The Cape of Good Hope is no doubt one of the best known places in the world, and doubly so for South Africa holidays. Not only is this a great place to take a trek and trip to, it is also a great place to experience the ocean and vastness of South Africa. Located nearby is Table Mountain, Cape Colony, and many other important places for tourism. Many great animals such as wild ostriches, Cape Mountain Zebra, and many other interesting species can be found making their homes here. This is a great place for a once in a lifetime travel trip.
