Visiting Australia tours is the dream of many people throughout the world. This fantastic country offers almost unlimited opportunity to explore, have fun, and learn.

Tasmania

Tasmania is the 26th largest island in the world, and is located 150 miles off the coast of Australia. This Australian state is celebrated by hikers and conservationists for its unspoilt landscape, which results in breathtaking views. Tasmania is easily reached from the Australian mainland via airline and ferry.

Cradle Mountain Lake-St Clair National Park is a favourite for hikers from around the world. Many Australia holidays that include Tasmania visit this World Heritage Area park. The park has very diverse alpine flora, and is also home to various species including the Tasmanian devil, Bennett’s wallabies, and wombats.

Sydney

For city-lovers, Sydney is a must see. This world-famous city is the largest in Australia, as well as most populous. It’s the state capital of New South Wales, and was the site of the first British colony in Australia.

The Sydney Opera House is probably the most famous opera house in the world, with its gorgeous ribbed roof that symbolises both the city as well as Australia as a whole. It houses many different performance venues, from Opera Australia to The Australian Ballet.

Ayers Rock

Ayers Rock is a towering sandstone formation located in the Northern Territory. It sits in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, and is considered sacred by the Aboriginal people of the area. The Pitjantjatjara tribe call it ‘Uluru,’ which is a local family name.

Many Australia holidays aren’t complete without a visit to Ayers Rock. The last formation of an ancient mountain range otherwise worn away, Ayers Rock has many cave sites, waterholes, and fresh water springs. Many tourists visit to climb the rock. However, because the climb crosses a sacred dreamtime trail, the Australian government is considering stopping this activity.
