Hello faithful followers. It has been a few days since we've posted. Things have been very very busy getting everything organised. We had about a million appointments on Monday with people like photographers, reception people and all that. But all is going well and I think it is all under control.
Apart from the appointments, we were able to catch up with Chrissi (the maid of honour) and her boyfriend Tyler for a nice dinner on Sunday night, which was a lot of fun.
I also had my first dress trying on session. Not many people could (or would want to) say that a week before the wedding! But I'm really happy with how it looks and the great job my mum has done. No pictures allowed yet ;-)
Richard's highlight was the fish and chips. My mum has been promising to take him to try Canadian fish and chips and they successfully passed his quality and taste test. He took pictures... of course.
We got our marriage license on Tuesday morning so we're all legal and all that. The only question they asked was if we were related. Um... do we LOOK like we are?? Jeesh. Anyway. We also took a quick drive out to my old house. Stupid people cut down my tree I got in Kindergarten. Mean!!!
Tuesday was also a road trip day. Richard's parents arrived by train from Toronto to Moncton which is another city about 1.5 hours away. We drove down to meet them and had lunch in Moncton. We then drove south to the Bay of Fundy to check out the highest tides in the world and the famous Flower Pot Rocks. The photos should speak for themselves.
So all in all it's been a busy time. We've been to Tim Hortons a whole bunch of times already. Richard will probably be addicted to their coffee by the end. I'm already re-addicted to the boston cream donuts. mmmm donuts.
Today we were playing tour guides again but I will let Richard write about that one tomorrow. So stay tuned!
