I was only here for half a day with Nitasa on our way to the Cinque Terra but I thought I’d quickly write about it because I think it’s definitely worth a visit - especially on a Friday when the markets are on! It is fantastic. They have everything from leather bags and belts, Italian silk ties, handbags, shoes, clothes, toys, jewellery and much more! It’s just held along the seafront too. One thing I noticed is that the stall owners will tell you that everything is made here in Italy (they seem to be very proud of that). I picked up a couple handbags here - two Fendi lookalikes for 30 euro altogether and the quality is fab!
It was nice just walking along the seafront too. I must admit it was a pleasant change from the commercial feel of the French Riveria. Here, there were loads of families out just enjoying the warm weather, kicking back and relaxing.
Getting here is easy, you can just take the train from Nice in France (takes about 40 minutes) and as soon as you get off the station, the markets are only 2 minutes away! Next time I’m over that way, I would like to come back and spend more time in this city and explore! I’ll definitely make sure that it falls on a Friday too!!!
